He has been practicing intellectual property and “big data” law in Silicon Valley for over 16 years, including as head of SV IP transactions for a major law firm. In part to improve US diligence and litigation processes, he co-founded and led Lex Machina Inc., as well as co-founded CodeX: The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics. Walker received his AB degree from Harvard College, magna cum laude, and his JD from the University of Chicago Law School. He is the author of On Legal AI (Fastcase/Full Court Press 2019).

Gaurav Sud is a senior managing director and West Coast head of Aon Transaction Solutions. Prior to joining the Aon Transaction Solutions team in 2014, he was an associate at Fenwick & West LLP in Silicon Valley (from 2011 to 2014) and previously at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York (from 2007 to 2011), specializing in public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investment transactions, and other strategic corporate transactions, as well as fund formation and corporate governance matters for private equity sponsors and US and global strategic clients spanning a wide range of industries. Prior to attending law school, Sud was an M&A paralegal at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York. He attended Amherst College and Vanderbilt University Law School.
Patrick Roth is responsible for driving Aon’s Northern California industry-leading expertise and solutions to clients in the primary areas of risk, retirement, and health. He has been with Aon for over 10 years and previously led the firm’s Executive Management Liability Insurance Brokerage Team in the Denver office. Prior to joining Aon, Roth worked within the Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group managing a MGA company.
