Board Director, McGrath Rentcorp, American River Bank
Kim Box is an independent director on the Board of McGrath Rentcorp (NASDAQ: MGRC), a diversified business-to-business rental company. She is also an independent director and chair of the Directors Loan Committee on the Board of American River Bank (NASDAQ: AMRB), a community business bank. Box is the president and CEO at Gatekeeper Innovation Inc., the makers of Safer Lock, which provides portable containers for securing prescription medications. She is a former HP vice president with extensive experience in information technology. At HP, she led IT outsourcing services, customer support of product services, and internal IT services. She also led a global organization with over 100 locations around the world. She is known for her strong skills in strategic planning, information technology, partner/relationship building, mergers and acquisitions, results-driven leadership, and high integrity with proven successful execution.
Box has served on several nonprofit boards of directors. She currently serves on the Carlsen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Advisory Board at California State University, Sacramento. She has served on the American Red Cross Board and as chair of the board and of the Strategic Planning Committee and Board Development Committee. Box is a member of Women Corporate Directors organization and is cofounder of Pathway to Prevention where she led the production of an Emmy-winning documentary. She is the author of the book Woven Leadership: The Power of Diversity to Transform Your Organization for Success. She is a dynamic international keynote speaker on topics such as leadership, diversity, and transformation.
Chris Chediak is a senior shareholder in the firm’s Corporate Group and is a leading corporate transactional attorney in the region. His practice focuses on governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, fiduciary matters, and other entity transactions, including early- and late-stage financing, reorganizations, strategic partnering, joint ventures, licensing, distribution, and researching arrangements. Chediak has extensive experience representing both public and private clients and regularly represents clients in the following industries: agri-business, technology, software, private equity, venture capital, manufacturing, and nonprofit associations.
Jim Clarke is a shareholder in the firm’s Tax and Corporate Groups. His practice focuses on business transactions, tax planning and dispute resolution, transactional tax, and business planning matters in connection with mergers and acquisitions; structuring and choice of entity planning in connection with business formations; buy-outs; equity financings; reorganizations, acquisitions, business dispositions, and succession planning involving corporate (including nonprofit) and pass-through business entities and client representation in federal, state, and local tax controversy matters.
