Maureen ConnersModerator Maureen Conners is a board director at Fashion Incubator San Francisco. She is a former board director at Deckers Brands (NYSE: DECK), where she chaired two committees: Compensation and Nominating/Governance. Her background is in marketing at Gillette (P&G), Levi’s, and Mattel, where she helped launch many new products and increased shareholder value. Currently, Ms. Conners advises CEOs and boards on strategy and new technologies for increasing global growth. She has spoken about the implications of major new technologies at The Deloitte Board Director Symposium and NACD’s Technology Symposium and will speak at the NACD CES Experience.
Erin EssenmacherErin Essenmacher serves as the chief programming officer for NACD and provides strategic vision and thought leadership for board director education for over 17,000 members. She oversees the more than 60 national education programs and events a year on a wide diversity of topics. Her leadership resulted in the first NACD Tech Symposium in 2017 and the NACD CESÂ® Experience. These are the first board programs specifically targeted to address a wide range of technology, business models, and other issues corporate boards must address in a highly disruptive period. Ms. Essenmacher is co-chair of the Board of Gandhi Brigade and serves on the board of Women in Film and Video of Washington, D.C.
John HottaJohn Hotta advises public and private boards and C-level executives about technology and M&A. He began his career conducting artificial intelligence (AI) research for the RAND Corporation. His experience includes leadership roles at Microsoft and Accenture in the areas of software-as-a-service, mobile, devices, innovation, and M&A governance. He is a board advisor at Kaiser Permanente Washington State and at the Seattle Foundation. The Financial Times named Mr. Hotta as one of the Agenda Digital 50. He has spoken at FT governance events on AI and boards and also at NACD on topics including cyber security, social media, privacy, big data, cloud, customer relationship management, and enterprise architecture.
Sandra LopezSandra Lopez is vice president and general manager for Intel’s Sports Group and is responsible for partnering with the industry to transform how sports are played and watched, using a multitude of the Intel technologies. Previously, she was the vice president of the New Technology Group leading and managing their fashion wearable and fitness businesses. She is highly knowledgeable about a wide range of new technologies and has spoken at many industry events, including Shoptalk, Wearables Conferences, Adweek, and South by Southwest. The Wall Street Journal and The Sage Group recognized her with a Marketer That Matters Award.
